After making a move to the Israel Premier League, former Bidvest Wits attacking midfielder Rowan Human has opened up about his new home.
“The move means a lot because it has gotten me out of there (South Africa) and given me the opportunity of experiencing football in other countries,” said Human.
Speaking about his short term plans and what he wants to achieve, the 19-year-old explained his ambitions for the season ahead.
“My short-term goal is to play regularly and finish the loan and my long-term goal is to play in Maccabi’s first team. The loan long-term goal is to move on to playing elsewhere in Europe in a better league with a much more competitive contingent.”
Human made the move to Maccabi from former South African champions Wits having played for the first team towards the end of the 2020/21 season and he attracted the interest of the former Israel champions.
He played 3 games for Wits before making the move abroad. He joins the likes of Dino Ndlovu, Thembinkosi Fanteni and Tsepo Masilela amongst South Africans who have played in the Israel Premier division.
