After their 3-3 draw away from home against Steenberg United in the Glad Africa Championship, TS Galaxy are off to Nigeria to face one of that country’s top sides Enyimba for a place CAF Confederation Cup group stage.
The two sides meet on Sunday afternoon.
With only seven games played in the Glad Africa Championship, coach Dan Malesela;s boys are sitting on sixth position from two wins, four draws and one loss, whereas Enyimba boys are sitting comfortably on first position in Nigeria’s Professional Football League (NPFL).
Following their 1-0 defeat on aggregate to Al-Hilal in the CAF Champions League, Enyimba were demoted to the Confed Cup and drawn to face ‘The Rockets’ in a two-legged affair to determine who goes through to the group stage.
The first leg will be played at Enyimba international stadium on Sunday at 5pm SA time.
Galaxy will miss two GladAfrica encounters, this weekend and next weekend due to the return leg that will be played on Sunday, November 3, at Mbombela Stadium at 3pm.
Also representing SA in the Confed Cup is Bidvest Wits who will be taking on Mozambican side UD Songo, also on Sunday.
Coach Gavin Hunt’s boys will return home to face Songo for the second-leg on Sunday, November 3, at Bidvest Stadium at 6pm.
