Former Orlando Pirates and Bidvest Wits winger Sifiso Myeni insists that he is not under pressure to deliver at his new club TS Sporting.
GladAfrica Championship side Sporting recently signed the experienced 31-year-old, who has been without a team since parting ways with Bidvest Wits last season. Myeni put pen to paper on a two-year deal.
“No, actually there is no pressure, I don’t think there is, for me it just to make sure that I play and do what I enjoy doing which is playing football so that’s it,” said Myeni.
“There’s no pressure to deliver, so for me when I signed at Sporting no one said you need to deliver certain things or anything.
“All the chairman [Slungu Thobela] said to me was to just make sure that I help the team and I help the youngsters and for me,” added Myeni.
The Mpumalanga-based side is currently 13th on the GladAfrica Championship log standings after playing 23 matches.
The Absa Premiership and the second-tier have been suspended until further notice due to the coronavirus outbreak but the PSL’s intention is to finish the season by no later than 30th June but shall remain flexible.
