One of Kaizer Chiefs’s influential players George Maluleka has explained by Amakhosi are flying this season.
The 50-year-old is top of the Absa Premiership standings after 17 matches, with 41 points.
Speaking to SuperSport TV after the 3-0 win over Cape Town City at FNB Stadium on Sunday, ‘Mido’ said Chiefs are more united.
“There’s a lot more belief – there’s lot more togetherness,” said Maluleka as he collected vis Man of the Match award.
“There was togetherness back then but I think now we are a lot more together and we are going towards the same goal. We know what we want.”
Maluleka admitted that a club’s caliber shouldn’t have gone so many seasons without a trophy and wants to repay the supporters.
“You know this is a big brand, if you don’t bring trophies it becomes a problem. It’s all about these people (the supporters) that are here today to support us.
“We want trophies, we want positive results, we want to play good football and 2020 is a special year for the club as you know,” he added.
