Black Leopards coach Cavin Johnson has lashed out at his players for what he calls schoolboy errors that cost them against Chippa United on Wednesday night.
Lidoda Duvha conceded a goal after just 17 seconds, as well as the last 10 seconds of the second half at Thohoyandou Stadium to suffer a 2-1 defeat against the Chilli Boys, their 4th loss at home.
It was also a second defeat in 2 games for Johnson who took over from Luc Eymael late last month.
“Two disappointing moments one in the first 30 seconds and one in the last 30 seconds of the game, I thought we were very poor as professionals because we spoke about the first 15 minutes of the game and the last 5, 10 minutes of the match” Johnson told the media after the match.
“So all in all they played 1 minute of football and they beat us and that for me is not acceptable. I am sorry to say it but this team (Chippa) was flat, their tongues were hanging on the floor but we couldn’t kill them and then last 30 seconds, first 30 seconds they kill you and that’s how it was,” he added.
Leopards remain 13th with 16 points from 16 games, 2 points above bottom placed Baroka FC.
