Matsemela Thoka says Baroka FC problems go down to scoring goals and avoiding mistakes.
Bakgaga started the 2020/21 Premier Soccer League (PSL) campaign like a house on fire cruising on top of the table.
The Limpopo-based outfit have struggled to win a game in their last four league matches with only two goals to show for all their hard work.
Thoka has been moaning at his players for not converting their scoring opportunities, however, he’s not fazed by that and believes his side will bounce back the best way they know-how.
“In the first round, we showed some positives. I think football is about scoring and if your team don’t score, other teams will score. It’s just that sometimes we are not making the right decisions when it comes to scoring and defending. I don’t think it’s about bad luck,” Thoka told the media.
“It’s very poor of us to have won one game from the last 10 matches we have played. We need to make sure that we win games before those teams down there get momentum.”
Baroka currently sit 10th on the PSL log standings with 17 points from 16 outings.
Meanwhile, Thoka’s side will face Black Leopards in the DStv Premiership Limpopo derby on Saturday, at Peter Mokaba Stadium with the kick-off set for 17:00.
“It’s going to be a different ball game against Leopards on Saturday. But we are going to play at our home, therefore, we need to make sure that we dust ourselves and get maximum points. We can’t afford to lose two games in a row.
