Maritzburg United head coach Eric Tinkler has made it clear that any interested club in his goalkeeper’s services should be prepared to cough out “a lot of money.”
“If someone wants him [Richard Ofori] it’s going to be a lot of money… that I can tell, because of the qualities that he has,” Tinkler said of Ofori.
The 26-year-old Ghana’s number one shot-stopper has been in good form of late keeping a total of 8 clean sheets in 20 Absa Premiership matches for the ‘Team of Choice’ this season.
“Richard is a quality goalkeeper, there’s always gonna be interest in him, but he’s a good professional, modern professional,” added Tinkler.
“He works extremely hard. There are aspects of his game I still feel he must improve on, but he remains our No1 goalkeeper and our captain,” concluded the Maritzburg mentor.
‘The Team of Choice’ next fixture will see them travel to Free State to play against Bloemfontein Celtic in the Nedbank Cup last 16 at the Dr Molemela Stadium on Saturday (8.15 pm).
