Truter not interested in setting targets

Swallows FC coach Brandon Truter says he doesn’t want to get carried away following a 1-0 victory against Kaizer Chiefs in the DStv Premiership encounter on Tuesday.

The Dube Birds are flying high since their return to the Premier Division and are currently top of the log after 5 matches.

With three wins, two draws without a defeat, Truter has urged his players to remain humble.

“No, I am not interested in looking at targets or where we are going in this league. We will compete at the next game,” said Truter.

“But yeah we need to be humble, Chiefs is the biggest team in South Africa, but we need to calm them (the players) and be humble and take it game by game,” he added.

Swallows will travel to Golden Arrows for their next match and Truter anticipates a tough encounter.

“I am just happy it’s a week away so that some of the boys can actually have a proper rest and we can have a proper recovery. Arrows have been having a good run, had a good game against Chiefs as well so it is going to be a tough game,” he added.
