TS Galaxy have announced Sead Ramovic as the new head coach of the Rockets on a three-year deal.

The 42-year-old master tactician will take over the coaching reins from the departed Owen Da Gama.

Ramovic boasts a wealth of international experience having played in top European leagues during his glittering career which spanned over 15 years.

The former Wolfsburg net-minder put pen to paper on a three-year deal and the club President Tim Sukazi explained the reason behind the appointment of Ramovic.

“We are quite delighted to have secured the services of Mr. Sead Ramovic as the Head Coach of TS Galaxy Football Club. I’ve known Sead during his playing days which made his move a seamless transaction,” Sukazi detailed.

After five league outings, the Club is still searching for that elusive victory.

“As a young club, we stand to benefit from his experience in top European which includes playing in the German Bundesliga for eight years. He is on a UEFA Pro License programme which is the highest coaching qualification in the world,” he added.

TS Galaxy FC interim mentor, Shaun Bartlett, will continue to steer the ship until Ramovic receives his South Africa working permit.

Ramovic will be present when the Rockets lock horns against the rookies, Sekhukhune United on Saturday at 3:30 pm but will not be on the bench.

Bartlett alongside Esau Mtsweni will be in charge of this upcoming match.

Ramovic represented well-established clubs in Germany such as Stuttgarter Kickers, VfL Stuttgart, Borussia M’gladbach, and Kickers Offenbach.

After making his name in the German Bundesliga, he later moved to Norway where he enjoyed a four-year spell with Tromso Idrettslag.

While in Norway, Ramovic also plied his trade with the Norwegian powerhouse, Lillestrom, and Stromsgodset.

Towards the end of his career, he also played in countries like Turkey, Serbia, Denmark, and Ukraine for clubs like Sivasspor, Novi Pazar, Vendsyssel, and Metulurh Zaporizhya respectively.

Ramovic ended his playing career in 2014 and pursued his coaching career.

He is excited to join the Rockets.

“I am very honoured to be afforded the opportunity to be the Head Coach of TS Galaxy FC which is an exciting young club with huge potential,” Ramovic stated.

Ramovic and TS Galaxy FC President come a long way.

“I have fortunately known Mr. Sukazi for many years which made everything to be very easy. I am happy to work with coach Shaun who is a great legend and I have the greatest respect for him and the entire technical team of the club,” he explained.

The Rockets are currently languishing at the foot of the table.

“This is a great challenge given the situation where the club finds itself in but I have no doubt that there is enough talent in the group of players that will see things changing very soon,” Ramovic said.

The Serbian mentor has been following the Rockets since the start of the season.

“Generally, I am the biggest admirer of South African football. I’ve watched many matches of TS Galaxy FC and I believe that this country is blessed with football talent which is why I could not resist the opportunity.” Ramovic concluded.
