TS Galaxy have had a tough start to life in the DStv Premiership with a single victory from their opening eight matches, but club captain Given Msimango says they remain positive.
‘The Rockets’ returned to the training grounds on Monday as they prepare to take on Baroka in their first game of the new year – 2021 on Tuesday, 5 January at home.
The 23-year-old told the club’s website how the first day of training was and what to expect from the ambitious Galaxy in the games ahead.
“It was a good and an intense session, it feels good to be back at training. The guys are enthusiastic,” said Msimango.
“You know, it is all good vibes in the camp, we didn’t end the first round on a good note, so we’re looking to pick up maximum points in the upcoming games.”
Galaxy are 12th on the log standings with seven points after suffering three defeats on the trot to Stellenbosch, Mamelodi Sundowns and Cape Town City.
As a result, the club took the decision to cut ties with Dan “Dance” Malesela and appoint Zipho Dlangalala on an interim basis.
“We are positive, we are feeling good, the management hasn’t changed much, so we just need to keep on fighting until the end of the season,” concluded the Galaxy skipper.
