Tshakuma Tsha Madzhivhandila FC admit they owe one of their star players Jean Munganga a six-month salary.
Munganga who arrived from Black Leopards in August last year, has not received payment from the GladAfrica Championship outfit since last year November.
According to TTM’s Communications and Marketing manager Tshidino Ndou, the club is currently experiencing cash flow problems.
“Just like any other GladAfrica Championship team that runs without sponsorship, the club is vulnerable to cashflow problems,” Ndou said.
“With regards to Jean Munganga’s case, a settlement agreement was reached with him. Unfortunately, the settlement was not honoured due to some financial challenges. The club would like to sincerely apologise to the player for all the frustrations.”
Munganga claims there is a group of players always receiving salaries on time.
“To be honest, I’m not sure of players receiving unequal treatment in the team, but will discuss with the management until the matter is resolved,” Ndou continued.
“The player was not paid for six months and settlement agreement was reached between him and the club.
“Unfortunately, the settlement amount cannot be disclosed to the media. The player has already taken the club to the PSL Dispute Resolution Chamber but will try to solve the matter before the case is heard, the new date has not been set due to lockdown.”
