GladAfrica Championship side Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila have confirmed two cases of COVID-19 during their first round of testing.
Although the Premier Soccer League have given some of the clubs the green light to return to training, TTM are yet to resume with their training.
“After conducting covid-19 test on the management, technical team and the players, the results came back negative except for one player and a technical team staff member who tested positive for COVID-19,” the club said in a statement.
“The two have been advised to isolate with immediate effect and also inform all those who had contact with them. The club would like to wish them a speedy recovery during these trying times,” said the club.
The club Spokesperson, Tshidino Ndou confirmed to FARPost that they are yet to start with their training but are in contact with the League for permission.
“The players and the technical team are back in camp. The training facilities have been disinfected and the club is prepared to return to training at any time from now. Safety and health precautions are all in place but we are busy consulting with the PSL for approval before resumption,” he said.
The League is yet to confirm a new proposed date for football resumption after their initial preferred date of tomorrow, 18 July fell off.
