Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila (TTM) have responded to the intensifying rumours that the club is set to officially part ways with one of their marquee signings, Oupa Manyisa.
FARPost can confirm that Manyisa is not part of the squad that travelled back to Limpopo on Monday, from their mini pre-season in Pretoria.
The 32-year-old was part of that camp, but it is believed that the club has made a surprise U-turn on the player who joined in July on a two-year deal from Mamelodi Sundowns.
But speaking on SABC Radio PhalaPhala FM on Monday, club CEO Sello Chokoe denied the report. “Look I am shocked to hear that from you,” Chokoe told the station.
“There is no way that we are going to release players that we have signed unless there is a problem that forces us. At least at this stage, we have not found anything that will force us to release players.
“He (Manyisa) is part of the players like everyone. We are hoping that he will play when the time comes but that’s basically the situation, I don’t know anything about us releasing the player, how can you release a player before he can even kick the ball?,” asked Chokoe.
The club is expected to officially unveil all the latest signings on Wednesday, including the new technical team.
