Tunisia secure Afcon U20 ticket

Tunisia has qualified for the Total U-20 Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) due to be held in Mauritania next year.

The hosts Tunisia secured the remaining North African Zone (UNAF) qualifiers’ ticket, after their 1-0 slender win against Libya in Rades on Sunday.

The Junior Carthage Eagles needed maximum points to qualify, while all the Libyans needed was a draw to book their spot.

Chiheb Laabidi scored Tunisia’s winning goal with five minutes left on the clock.

Despite the four added minutes, Libya’s youngsters failed to equalize and the full-time whistle sent the Eagles flying away to Mauritania 2021.
