South Africa booked their spot in the semi-finals of the U23 Africa Cup of Nations after playing to a goalless draw against Nigeria on Friday evening.
The game was closely contested with both teams making their intentions clear from the onset.
Man of the Match Luther Singh, Lyle Foster and Keletso Makgalwa troubled the West Africans.
David Notoane’s charges will look to rectify all their unconverted chances in yesterday’s match as it could see them punished when they play an unforgiving Egypt that confidently topped Group A, winning all their games.
SA managed to finish second in Group B with 5 points collected from a possible 9, just a point from away from Ivory Coast who topped the group.
The real positive, however, is that SA were able to solidify things at the back with the likes of Tercious Malepe and Siyabonga Ngezana pulling out top notch performances.
In fact, they didn’t concede in their three matches.
SA will meet hosts Egypt at the Cairo International Stadium on November 19 (Tuesday) at 20:00.
