Zimbabwe’s striking jewel Tino Kadewere is proving unstoppable in the French Ligue 1!
The Warriors striker struck again in Olympique Lyon’s 3-0 win over Nantes in the French Ligue 1 on Wednesday.
He went on to turn provider for Lucas Paqueta on Lyon’s third goal as he continued with his impressive run for Les Gones.
He has been directly involved in 10 league goals for title-chasing Lyon this season, scoring 7 and providing three assists.
“We had a very good year 2020. We have a series of victories, that’s the most important. We will try to get back in good shape.
“We will have to be ready on the 6th against Lens. I’m happy for Lucas Paqueta very well served by Tino,” his coach Rudi Garcia said.
Kadewere was also on target in last week’s victory over Nice and the previous week against PSG.
On Wednesday, the 24-year-old doubled Lyon’s advantage when Paquetá’s shot was saved by Nantes goalkeeper and he reacted quickly to fire home the rebound.
The result sees Lyon go level on points with log leaders Lille in an enticing title race.
The former Harare City forward moved to Les Gones from French Ligue 2 side Le Havre during the pre-season and has defied the odds by commanding a regular place despite walking into a side with a star-studded attack.
