The case between TS Sporting and Mbombela United appeared before SAFA arbitrator, Advocate William Mokhari on Sunday.
FARPost has been reliably informed that a verdict is expected before close of business on Monday, 31 August.
The case was initially scheduled for 10am but was postponed to 17:00 and concluded around 21:30.
Only representatives and witnesses from Sporting appeared while no one from Mbombela was there to give evidence or represent them.
The dispute, which could have an impact on the current GladAfrica Championship relegation status, is about Eswatini international Sabelo Ndzinisa.
Sporting claim to have signed Ndzinisa as a free agent in May 2019, while Mbombela claim to have signed the player in January 2019 from Mbabane Swallows.
The player appeared in 20 league matches for Mbombela during the 2019/20 season and of those matches, the club collected 22 points.
If found guilty, Mbombela could be docked points and subsequently relegated to the ABC Motsepe League.
As it stands, Sporting are relegated alongside Royal Eagles after the conclusion of the GladAfrica Championship on Sunday.
Mbombela finished third from bottom, tied on 32 points with Sporting, but survived due to a superior goal difference.
FARPost will keep you updated as soon as the verdict is out.
