AmaZulu are set to announce the signing of experienced Slovakian center forward Milos Lacny subject to a work permit.
Usuthu have been struggling with goals this season and it has been well documented with the club scoring just 9 goals in the league thus far something which has been a problem for head coach Jozef Vukusic, who admits that his compatriot Lacny is a welcomed addition to the squad.
“First what is a reality is that a striker shall come from Slovakia, that is the only player I think will join us at the moment and the rest is only speculation,” said the 55-year-old tactician.
“He is a number 9 but he can play striker he is an offensive player he has scored goals he has played for good clubs in Europe so he’s a quality player.
“We are only waiting for the administration for the papers that he can play but he is now at the moment in Slovakia so in short time next days he will fly back, we are only waiting to open the embassy after that we deal with documents.”
Lacny was close to joining Glasgow Celtic twice in 2009 and in 2011 after his impressive form but ended up signing for Dundee United in Scotland.
He has also played for Sparta Prague and MSK Zilina amongst other teams while banging more than 56 goals across Europe in the process.
