Uthongathi: Catch us if you can!!!


Uthongathi missed out on an opportunity to extend their lead to 8 points at the top of the GladAfrica Championship following their 1-1 draw against Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila at Princess Magogo Stadium in midweek.

However, Uthongathi, with 26 points, still lead second placed JDR Stars by 6 points after 11 games while 3rd placed Ajax Cape Town are on 17 points but with a game in hand.

The match was one of the 3 GladAfrica Championship fixtures this afternoon, A 70th minute goal Quentin Debouto inspired Jomo Cosmos to a 1-0 win against Royal Eagles in the bottom of the table cash at Olen Park, also in midweek.

Eagles remain bottom of the log with 7 points from 11 games while Ezenkosi jumped from second bottom to number 13.

In the other fixture, 2019 CAF Confederations Cup participants TS Galaxy were held to a 1-1 draw by Richards Bay at Kameelrivier Stadium.

The visitors opened the scoring in the 24th minute through Thabo Ralebakeng before Galaxy equalized through Tshegofatso Nyama in the 31st minute.

Galaxy are 9th on 12 points with 2 games in hand while Richards Bay are 8th on 14 points.
