Pitso ‘Jingles’ Mosimane has expressed his happiness to work at Al Ahly despite all the drama that unfolded since the beginning of the month.

The 57-year-old mentor stated that he is eager to continue with his mission to win his third Caf Champions League Title with the African Club of the Century.

This comes after the rumours of him leaving the Egyptian giants surfaced earlier this month.

Coach Mosimane was linked with a move to UAE Pro League club, Al Wahda.

However, Amir Tawfik, head of Al Ahly’s transfers and marketing department, has since announced that Mosimane will continue with his current contract with the club, which lasts until the end of the 2021/22 season.

The 2021/22 TotalEnergies Caf Champions League 2nd Preliminary Round stage will be taking place across the continent, with first leg matches from 15 – 17 October 2021, whereas the second leg of the competition takes place from 22 – 24 October.

Aggregate winners will qualify to the group stage, while the aggregate losers will move to the TotalEnergies Caf Confederation Cup additional 2nd Preliminary Round.

The ten-time Caf Champions League winners will face US Gendarmerie Nationale of Niger away from home on Saturday, 16 October 2021.

“I am very excited that our journey towards achieving the 3rd Caf Champions League title in a row starts on Saturday in Niger,” ‘Jingles’ wrote on his official Twitter account.

“We are focused on the prize ahead and ready to once again conquer the Caf Champions League tournament.”
