We are in the driving seat – Marlin

Ajax Cape Town coach Calvin Marlin believes the 3-2 win against Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila in their first match of the PSL Promotion Play-offs gives them an edge over the other two teams.

The Urban Warriors lead the relegation/promotion play-off mini league, and three more wins will ensure their return to the Premier Division since 2018.

“We all know that, first match you got to get the three points, put pressure on the other teams straight away,” said Marlin.

“So you got to be in the driving seat from the first game and now we have the three points.

“We need a little bit of a rest it was a very hard game for the guys, some of them are going to be really exhausted. We are back against Leopards (on Wednesday), I mean they have an extra day of rest from Saturday, so either way we are going to have to deal with it, have a look at the boys. Rest them quite well and then look forward to Wednesday,” he said.

The Wednesday match between Leopards and Ajax at FNB Stadium will start at 15:00.
