We are looking forward to competing for the League – Motupa

Prior to the temporary suspension of the Absa Premiership on March 16, Bidvest Wits were at position 6 with 9 matches still to play and still with a chance to compete for the title.

The 2016/17 Champions are 10 points behind current log leaders Kaizer Chiefs with one match in hand.

Striker Gift Motupa admits to FARPost that it has not been easy not being able to play football but everyone is trying to adjust to the circumstances.

“It is not easy but you adjust from the situation because there is nothing you can do, the (COVID-19) pandemic is beyond everyone,” he said.

“So we just have to adjust and make sure that everything goes back in place so that we can be able to go back and play. We have a zoom meeting as a team where we do some exercises that we keep ourselves busy in case the league might reopens,” said Motupa.

“We have not done badly as a club it was just that we were not at our best but also we were not bad so we are looking forward to get better and to make sure that we compete for the League,” added the 2016 Olympic Games participant.

Motupa has scored 8 goals in all domestic competitions with 2 assists.
