Zambia U/17 national team coach George Chilufya insists his team is not going to add numbers but compete at the Junior Africa cup of nations in Morocco.
Zambia will play in a pre-Afcon tournament where they will come up against teams like Nigeria and Cameroon.
Chilufya believes the tournament will give his team an insight into what to expect at the actual event.
“I think our local camp has been okay and finally it’s good we are leaving for the pre-tournament where we are going to play Nigeria, Cameroon, and some local academy, so we should be playing our first game on Sunday and thereafter we will see what follows,” said Chilufya.
“I think it’s always important to play international friendlies before any major tournament and to us, the only thing we can say is to thank the Association for making sure that these friendly games are arranged. It will give us an insight of what we expect in the main tournament,” he added.
Junior Chipolopolo are drawn in group A together with hosts Morocco, Ivory Coast, and Uganda.
