It is only a couple of days left before TS Galaxy make their long-awaited debut in top-flight football when they take on fellow DStv Premiership newcomers Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila on Sunday.
Galaxy are in the Premier Division for the first time after purchasing the status of Highlands Park.
Speaking during a media day at the club’s training grounds on Thursday, Club owner Tim Sukazi says the club is not in big league to add numbers.
“Expectations from us, firstly we are coming to the PSL to add a very exciting dimension or a different dimension for that matter,” said Sukazi.
“We are coming to play a kind of football that resonates to the South African kind of football talent at its best. I think that has been a missing link or a missing puzzle to our game.
“So TS Galaxy is coming to do exactly that and certainly that will identify us from the rest of the clubs. Certainly, we are not coming to add numbers, as TS Galaxy we set our own bar, I think it has already been set a long time ago when we brought to earth Kaizer Chiefs in (the Nedbank) Cup final,” he said.
“Up to that day they were known as Cup kings so when the bar is that high, certainly for us now is to either meet that standard or better those standards and certainly that’s what we want to do,” added Sukazi.
The Rockets will travel to the Thohoyandou Stadium for the match that is set to start at 15:30.
