Baroka FC head coach Matsemela Thoka says his side conceded a cheap goal in their DStv Premiership clash against Kaizer Chiefs at the New Peter Mokaba Stadium on Thursday afternoon.
Bakgaga came back from behind to hold the Soweto giants to a 1-all draw.
The Limpopo-based outfit are currently placed 11th on the log standings with 24 points after 22 games, while Amakhosi sit 9th on the table with 26 points from 21 outings.
“I think we came back stronger in the second half, but it’s just that we conceded a soft goal as we didn’t defend well,” Thoka told the media.
“However, the boys showed character in terms of the overall performance. One goal down and we managed to equalise. So, we take one point and move forward to the next match.”
The Baroka mentor is still hopeful for the top eight spot citing the fact that they just need to focus and take each game as it comes.
“We need to push. It’s been a long we had won a match. We got to take it one game at a time and at least win a game so it can give us confidence going forward,” he added.
The side will take on Chippa United away from home on Tuesday, 20 April at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium with the kick-off set for 15:00.
“Jah, another tough match. There’s no easy game at this time of the season as you can see Chippa are fighting for their lives. We need to make sure that we prepare ourselves very well, score and defend. If we can’t get three points then let’s take one and come back home,” he says in conclusion.
