We have a title to retain – Tshabalala

Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies head coach Jerry Tshabalala is taking nothing for granted despite their unbeaten run in the Hollywoodbets Super League.

Downs Ladies continued with their fine form after weeks of inaction in the national women’s league.

The defending champions thrashed neighbours TUT Ladies 4-2 in a Tshwane derby this past Saturday at Groenkloof Stadium.

The Cosafa Caf Women’s Champions League winners remain unbeaten since the commencement of the women’s league two years ago, and they are not showing any signs of succumbing to a defeat anytime soon.

“We need to be tougher than the task ahead,” said Tshabalala.

“It’s a new week, there are refined strategies to be applied here and to stay on top of our game as we have a title to retain.

“We have talented players to achieve the team’s goal and vision.”

Banyana Ba Style are currently on the summit of the Super League with 37 points from 13 outings, four points ahead of second-placed TUT Ladies.
