Bloemfontein Celtic have denied reports that they have finally secured the much needed financial support to help run the club.
Siwelele were on the verge of being relocated to Mpumalanga following a formal offer to purchase the status by TS Galaxy boss Tim Sukazi which was reportedly accepted.
But that deal fell through and reports emerged that Free State-born businessman Lebo Mokoena has stepped in to rescue the troubled club.
Celtic have now denied the claims but confirmed that they are in negotiations with potential sponsors.
“Based on what has been reported on the media regarding the club obtaining a sponsorship deal is incorrectly reported,” the club said on a statement.
“The club has not signed any sponsorship deal yet, as we are still in negotiations with potential companies. The club will make an official announcement once any sponsorship deal has been sealed.”
The club came out last month to confirm that they had been enquires to buy the status but denied that it has been sold.
