As they gear up for their 5th match in just 18 days, Bidvest Wits coach Gavin Hunt insists playing many games in a short space of time is not a problem but getting into the match venues is a burden.
The Students will host Highlands Park at Bidvest Stadium in an Absa Premiership match at 19:30.
This is after coming from a League match against Baroka on Saturday while they had back to back matches against Maritzburg United and Orlando Pirates in a space of 6 days and the CAF Confederations Cup participation.
“Players prefer to play the problem is traveling, if they all played in one venue that’s okay but you go to go to places” said Hunt.
“You travel 28 hours on an aeroplane to get to Guinea, Mali that’s where the problem came you arrive here on a Monday or Tuesday and you play on Wednesday. So that has been a problem because that take a week or two to get out of a system”
Wits head into the fixture in 5th place on the log standings, 12 points behind leaders Kaizer Chiefs, but having played 3 games less than Amakhosi.
