We think we are a good team but we are not-Kerr

Baroka coach Dylan Kerr believes there is still a long way to go for the club to get out of the mess they currently find themselves in.

The Ga-Mphahlele outfit have the joint worst goals scoring record (12) alongside AmaZulu in their 21 League matches.

Kerr insists their focus for the past few days has been to better their crossing and scoring ability at training.

“I just told the players that in the last 6 games we scored 3 goals but we are not creating anything and it’s not good enough,” he told FARPost.co.za.

“We think we are a good team and the league position is a lie so we are not a good team. We are not a good team because we are not creating chances and they don’t give my strikers or my midfielders to score so we have to get better,” added Kerr.

“So from now until Tuesday when we play Polokwane (City) we will be focusing on crossing, finishing, scoring goals, making the goalkeepers work and hopefully by Tuesday it will be in their mind-set so that’s what we have to do,” he said.

Baroka will play their neighbours Polokwane City in the Nedbank Cup last 32 match at Peter Mokaba Stadium on Tuesday at 19:30.
