Maritzburg United defender Pogiso Sanoka insists they will never take for granted Baroka ahead f their Absa Premiership clash at Peter Mokaba Stadium this afternoon.
A struggling Bakgaga side will host an in-form Maritzburg team at 15:30.
Baroka suffered a 10th defeat of the league season when they were beaten 1-0 at Stellenbosch in their last match while the Team of Choice extended their unbeaten run to 7 matches with a 1-0 home win over AmaZulu.
But the 27-year-old says they won’t get carried away by Baroka’s League position.
“I think going into this game knowing the position they are in and how difficult it is to be where they are now for us it’s like a Cup final,” Sanoka told the club’s social media platforms.
“If you are at the bottom of the league and things are not going well especially second round of the season like this it is very difficult. As for us we are not going to go there and underestimate them, we are going there and try get maximum points,” he said.
“Obviously their mood might be down and staff but we are going there to show that we collect all the points more especially that we are playing them away from home”
Regardless of today’s results, both teams will remain in their respective positions. United are 6th with 26 points while Baroka are 13th with 17 points.
