We will not underestimate Lions – Chipezeze

Baroka captain Elvis Chipezeze insists they will not take for granted their Nedbank Cup last 16 opponents Hungry Lions when the two teams meet at Peter Mokaba Stadium this afternoon (15:00).

The Northern Cape ABC Motsepe League side are making their first appearance in the last 16 round and will be looking to make history of going through to the last 8.

They face a Baroka side that also made a name for themselves in the same competition when they defeated Kaizer Chiefs in the quarterfinals in 2011.

“In football you cannot underrate anyone especially in Cup games like this. The fact they are in the last 16 mean they are a good team so we will give them the respect but it will be business as usual for us,” Chipezeze told FARPost.co.za.

Bakgaga are likely to rest some of the regular players for the match.

Lions will be led upfront by former Bloemfontein Celtic striker Moses Spandeel.
