Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila (TTM) head coach Dylan Kerr has dedicated the historic Nedbank Cup triumph to the staff at the club for what they have gone through in the last few months.
TTM beat Chippa United 1-0 at Free State Stadium on Saturday to win their first trophy since buying the status from Bidvest Wits.
The win also means that TTM have qualified for the CAF Confederation Cup.
“This is going to be treasured forever. It’s another one and I am proud of it, but I wouldn’t have won this if it wasn’t for the players,” said Kerr.
“I dedicate this to the TTM staff, to everybody involved in TTM because before I came, the problems that they went through.
“The turmoil, the unhappiness of what was happening week in and week out. Were they going to get paid? Were they going to get salaries or bonuses? That was the toughest thing but fantastic, fantastic,” said a visibly emotional Kerr.
