Kaizer Chiefs head coach Ernst Middendorp admits that travelling to Thohoyandou Stadium and playing an afternoon match is by far the most difficult experience in the League.
Chiefs played to an entertaining 1-all draw against Leopards in a hot but packed Stadium.
Although Amakhosi were the better side playing in a ‘different’ environment, the German Mentor says playing in Thohoyandou is not a pleasant experience.
“Listen, in the South African Premier League this is the toughest one to travel to in particular having to play in the afternoon but we would have been more comfortable playing in the evening,” Middendorp told the media after the match.
“Coming here with these circumstances is by far the toughest journey in the entire season in South Africa,” he said.
Amakhosi remain top of the log, 10 points ahead of second placed Mamelodi Sundowns who have a game in hand.
