It’s another action packed weekend with leagues across Europe approaching the final games of the season.

The battle for continental football is heating up while some teams are still fighting to avoid the drop to the lower divisions.

PACOS FERREIRA vs GIL VICENTE

FRIDAY, 14 MAY

20:00 PM (SA TIME)

Ferreira are a win away from securing Europa League football next season. They are the surprise package of the season in the Portuguese Primeira Liga having stunned a lot of opponents to climb up to fifth place on the log standings.

Luther Singh has been one of the club’s most important players and he will be looking to get back on the scoresheet when they host Gil Vicente on Friday night.

UNTERHACHING vs HANSA

SATURDAY, 15 MAY

14:00 PM (SA TIME)

Unterhaching are facing relegation to the fourth division and need maximum points in their remaining two games of the season.

Boipelo Mashigo recently returned from injury and got thrown straight back into the starting line-up and the teenager will be eager to get more minutes under his belt when they host second-placed Hansa on Sunday.

AGF AARHUS vs FC NORDSJAELLAND

SUNDAY, 16 MAY

18:00 PM (SA TIME)

With only three games left in the regular season, South African winger Gift Links will be eager to finish the season strongly in the Danish Superliga.

AGF Aarhus currently sit in fourth position on the log with 45 points from 29 games. Coach David Nielsen’s side need nine points to push for a Europa League spot and a win on Sunday will set the tone for the final two games of the season.

BK MORON vs JITEX

SUNDAY, 16 MAY

11:00 AM (SA TIME)

Banyana Banyana striker Hildah Magaia has started well in Sweden.

Last weekend, the attacker scored her third goal of the season in two appearances and she will be eager to continue her form going into Sunday’s game. Moron will be looking to get back to winning ways after losing 2-1 against Lidpkopings last weekend.

GLASGOW CITY vs FORFAR FARMINGTON

SUNDAY, 16 MAY

16:00 PM (SA TIME)

Janine Van Wyk and Ode Fulutudilu have established themselves as regular members of Glasgow City’s starting line-up.

Fulutudilu was recently nominated for the league’s Player of the Month award while Van Wyk has been rock solid at the back. Two weeks ago, City defeated Rangers 2-0 before holding Celtic to a 0-0 draw away from home on Wednesday.

The duo will be doing battle against Farmington on Sunday as they continue to play a major role in City’s chase for the title.
