Leagues across Europe continue this weekend and Mzansi’s exports will be looking to continue making positive contributions for their respective clubs abroad.

FC HELSINGOR vs HOBRO

Helsingor are the team to beat in this season’s Danish 1st Division after managing to avoid defeat in their first nine games of the new campaign.

The Copenhagen-based side have managed to collect 24 points from nine games which has helped them sit at the top of the log standings.

South African attacker Liam Jordan has established himself as a regular since joining the Danish club in January. Jordan has scored one goal and assisted another strike in nine league appearances for the club.

He has also scored two more goals in the Danish Cup.

SHARJAH vs AL JAZIRA

To return to the top of the table, reigning Arabian Gulf League champions Al Jazira have to defeat Sharjah on Friday night in a tricky away game.

The champions have managed to secure 10 points from their first four league games of the season and South African midfielder Thulani Serero has been one of their best players.

‘Cream’ has played 90 minutes in all the games and scooped two Man of the Match awards in the process.

AFC WIMBLEDON vs SHREWSBURY TOWN

The Dons host the Shrews at the New Meadow Stadium and two South Africans will be in action on either end of the pitch.

Khanya Leshabela has struggled to establish himself as a regular starter for the Salop since making a loan switch from Premier League club Leicester City while Ethan Chislett is a starter for Wimbledon.

Both clubs have had a slow start to the new season and will be keen on taking all three points to boost their confidence.

The international break is over and women’s football returns with a bang this weekend.

Banyana Banyana midfielder Refiloe Jane will be back in action for Serie A log-leaders Milan who will be looking to continue their good start to the new season this Saturday when they host Sassuolo.

Jane has been solid since the start of the new season for the Rossoneri and she returns to Italy full of confidence after helping Banyana clinch the maiden Aisha Buhari Cup in Nigeria.

DJURGADEN DFF vs HAMMARBY

Two of Sweden’s big clubs will lock horns at the Stockholm Olympic Stadium on Saturday afternoon and Banyana Banyana midfielder Linda Motlhalo will be at the thick of things for the hosts.

Motlhalo has established herself as a first choice in the creative midfield role for Djurgaden who sit in eighth place on the table with 17 points from 16 games.

Hammarby are in fourth place with 24 points from the same number of games. They were the favourites for the title at the beginning of the season, but a change in the coaching department affected them negatively.
