Leagues across Europe continue this weekend and some of Mzansi’s finest exports will be eager to play key roles for their respective clubs.

SAD BELENENSES vs NACIONAL

SATURDAY 20 FEBRUARY 2021

17:00 PM (SA TIME)

Belenenses will be looking to get back to winning ways after a run of three games without a win. The Lisbon side has drawn their last three games against Vitoria Guimaraes, FC Porto and Famalicao in the Primeira Liga.

Sphephelo Sithole and Thibang Phete have been doing well since being paired in central midfield. The duo will be looking to continue where they left off last weekend. Sithole has had a good week after being named as the Man of the Match in the last game and included in the league’s Team of the Week.

PACOS FERREIRA vs VITORIA GUIMARAES

SUNDAY 21 FEBRUARY 2021

17:00 PM (SA TIME)

On Monday evening, Pacos Ferreira lost 2-0 against log leaders Sporting Lisbon. This was the club’s first loss in nine matches after doing well in the league and moving up to fifth on the log standings.

On Sunday afternoon the club will have an opportunity to get back to winning ways when they face Vitoria Guimaraes who are hot on their heels for a place in the top five of the division. Luther Singh has played well for Ferreira so far and been involved in all their league games.

Lyle Foster has struggled to get into the Guimaraes team since returning from injury and he will be hoping to be named in this weekend’s squad.

AGF AARHUS vs SONDERJYSKE

SUNDAY 21 FEBRUARY 2021

17:00 PM (SA TIME)

Gift Links has started all the league games since the resumption of the Danish Superliga. The winger has even scored in the domestic cup competition as he continues his rise in Europe.

Aarhus have not lost a game in the new year and currently sit in third place on the table with 29 points from 16 games.

MONTPELLIER vs STADE RENNES

Keagan Dolly was not involved as Montpellier stunned Olympique Lyon 2-1 in their own backyard last weekend, but the winger has been getting the much-needed game time this season and will be eager to get involved when the former French champions host Rennes in Ligue 1 on Sunday.

BRIGHTON vs CRYSTAL PALACE

MONDAY 22 FEBRUARY 2021

22:00 PM (SA TIME)

On Monday night, Brighton will be expecting the return of Tariq Lamptey from injury after the winger was side-lined for weeks.

Percy Tau didn’t play a part as the Seagulls drew 0-0 against Aston Villa last Saturday, but he has been involved in all training sessions this week and will hope to have done enough to get the nod for Monday evening’s encounter.
