Stellenbosch FC goalkeeper Lee Langeveldt says the mood in the ‘Stellies’ camp is lively and high with all the players having every intention to leave everything out on the field when the Absa Premiership restarts from 11 August.
The Western Cape-based side will play all their remaining Absa Premiership matches at their new home ground, the University of Pretoria (Tuks Stadium).
“You can feel it on the training ground, the boys are ready, we’re hungrier than ever, said an excited Langeveldt ahead of their first game after three months against Golden Arrows on 15 August.
‘Stellies‘ occupy 11th place in the league with 27 points after 24 matches.
Meanwhile, head coach Steve Barker has expressed his excitement after they were drawn to play their remaining home fixtures in Pretoria.
“I am happy with the draw. There are up to 10 staff and players who have at some stage been at Tuks. It is a good venue for a club like us,” said Barker.
“We trust the hotel and training grounds will be in close proximity. In the NFD we also played matches there so we are familiar with the field and surrounding area. So all in all, well pleased with the draw,” said the former AmaTuks coach
