For the first time since his suspension, Black Leopards head coach Cavin Johnson has commented on being suspended by the club.
Johnson arrived at Leopards early this month to take over from Luc Eymael, who resigned.
On Monday, Lidoda Duvha announced that they have suspended Johnson due to the team’s poor performance. Before that he had led the club on a long winless streak, with the 1-0 loss to Cape Town City prompting his suspension.
Johnson’s right hand man Alan Clark, who’s been his assistant at Leopards, will now hold the reins until a decision is made on Johnson’s future.
Asked for his side of the story, Johnson only had this to say, “Ja no I have been telling a lot of people and lot of guys that, what happens in Venda stays in Venda.”
He told FARPost. “Yes I’m still in Venda. Tell them… what happens in Venda stays in Venda. We will see, we will see, for now what happens in Venda stays in Venda.”
This website understands the decision on Johnson’s future will be made after the weekend’s game against Stellenbosch FC as the club first wants to see if he was really the cause of the bad results.
