Newly signed Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila midfielder Thabo ‘Jomo’ Rakhale has explained why he chose to move to the Limpopo side.
Rakhale made his debut for TTM with a Man of the Match performance against Baroka this past weekend.
Before the 1-0 win over Bakgaga on Sunday, the 30-year-old’s last competitive match was for Chippa United against Bidvest Wits (now TTM) in March 2020.
The well-travelled player tells FARPost that head coach Joel Masutha played a huge role in him joining the club.
“For me to come here, the coach (Joel Masutha) called me and I agreed because I worked with him before,” said Rakhale.
“Looking at players that are here, everyone would want to be part of such players,” said the former Orlando Pirates player.
Rakhale insists there were people who had ruled him out for good, but he has nothing to prove to anyone.
“It’s simple, I love football and the more I word harder, the more I enjoy the game and that’s what keeps me going. For the mere fact that I was out for seven months maybe there are people who thought I am down and out, but here I am today enjoying my football
“It’s not about proving anything but, it’s about showing people that I am still able to kick the ball and I am still enjoying playing football so it’s not about proving to anyone. It’s a God given talent so I have nothing to prove to anyone.”
On how long he would want to stay at TTM, Rakhale had this to say: “In football you can never know how long you can stay at one team.”
