Williams react on Bafana group draw

SuperSport United and Bafana Bafana number 1 goalkeeper Ronwen Williams believes it’s a nice thing that the national team were drawn with familiar opponents in the 2022 World Cup Qualifiers.

The Molefi Ntseki-coached side was pitted against Ghana, Zimbabwe and Ethopia in Group G.

“It’s a nice thing as we know all these teams from this particular group,” said Williams.

“And we gonna play currently in the Afcon Qualifiers, we are playing Ghana as well so, we know what we up against and you know that’s always good. Yes it’s gonna be tough, only number one goes through you know so, we gonna have to be positive – believe that we can achieve it.

“We need to win all our home games, I mean if we can win all our home games and then you know that will set us on a good position. We need to stay positive and hope everything goes well.

“We need to win as much as possible cause you know as I said, only number one goes through so we can’t try rely on other people. We should rely on ourselves you know.
“Winning our home games is very important, we need to collect maximum points and if we do that you know we know we are nine points already. We need to take one game at a time and collect as much points as possible,” added Williams.
