SuperSport United captain Ronwen Williams says they are ready and confident for the resumption of the Premier Soccer League (PSL).
‘Matsatsantsa’ resumed training three weeks ago at the Megawatt Park in Sunninghill in preparation for the restart of the league on 08 August as confirmed by PSL Chairman Dr Irvin Khoza on Monday.
“All players have been put through our paces, everyone looks sharp and ready and slowly gaining match confidence,” said Williams.
“I’m happy to say that most if not all the guys are looking very good, we’ve been focusing more on team play, 11 v 11 to get us match ready,” added the SuperSport captain.
After three players recently recovered from the coronavirus, Williams says there are strict protocols that players need to adhere to on a daily basis.
“We have come so far and can’t get complacent now, and the technical team motivates us on a daily basis to continue doing the right things.
“We are loving being at training and being able to do what we love, there are still protocols but most importantly we are happy and motivated to be back on the training ground,” concluded the Bafana Bafana goalkeeper.
