Wits are coming into our house; they must feel the pain – Lukhubeni

Real Kings head coach Mike Lukhubeni is confident that his troops will cause an upset when they meet Bidvest Wits in their Nedbank Cup quarterfinal encounter on Friday evening Sugar Ray Xulu Stadium.

“I have no doubt that we will pull through. We are going to surprise a lot of people on Friday,” said Lukhubeni.

Kings are on a three-match unbeaten run and head into the clash on the back of a 1-0 win over against Jomo Cosmos in their most recent GladAfrica Championship game at Chatsworth Stadium.

“It is very important to do well at home. When I’m playing at home, you can’t beat me at my house. I can’t run to the neighbour, I have to protect my house,” added the Kings mentor.

“I can’t just run and ask the neighbours to help me. I need to stand and fight for myself. Bidvest Wits are coming into our house. They must feel the pain.

We are expecting a very difficult game but as I said we as Kings have our own way of doing things, we are not gonna worry about Wits, they must worry about us,” concluded Lukhubeni.

The GladAfrica Championship side earned their place in the quarterfinal after overcoming Steenberg United in the preliminary round – beat Passion FC in the last 32 and secured a win against Mbombela United in the round of 16.

Kick-off at 20:00 in Clermont.
