Wits fans hijack meeting to verbal attack chairman

As it was reported by FARPost last week, we can confirm that the meeting between the Bidvest Wits players and the Chairman Alan Fainman took place at Sturrock Park today.

Fainman broke the news to the players that the club has indeed been sold to businessman Masala Mulaudzi of Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila.

This publication spoke to more than three sources who were part of the meeting today.

“Yes the meeting took place and he assured the players that those who do not want to go to Venda with the club will not be forced to and their matters will be sorted out,” said our informant.

But it does not end there, the meeting had to be ended before it could finish after angry Wits fans stormed in to voice out their frustrations.

“Yes, the fans are clearly not happy with everything just like all of us and had to be stopped before it could get physical. Luckily they came after he (Fainman) had addressed everyone but everyone is now in the clear of what is going on,” he said.

The outgoing Chairman also apologised to the staff on how the matter was handled and told them that the agreement was that the sale would be announced properly.
