Wits players demand meeting as they seek answers

FARPost has reliably been informed that the Bidvest Wits players have assigned captain Thulani Hlatshwayo to set up an urgent meeting with the club chairman Alan Fainman to clarify issues regarding the sale of the club.

The ‘Clever Boys’ have allegedly not been informed of the sale of the club to Limpopo businessman Masala Mulaudzi and have apparently learnt of it through the media.

This is after Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila on Saturday night announced through their social media platforms that they have purchased the Absa Premiership status from the Braamfontein-based club.

“Everyone is confused about what is happening because no one has said anything to anyone. All of these things everyone read them in the media and it makes things worse,” said the informant.

The majority of the players are also reportedly against relocating to Limpopo.

The players have demanded that the meeting take place either on Tuesday or Wednesday this week so that they are also in the clear.

Soliciting a comment from Bidvest Wits on the sale of the club remains fruitless.
