Woza Nazo clash set for Loftus

A mouth-watering R100 000 will be up for grabs during the Woza Nazo Shootout at halftime of the clash between Mamelodi Sundowns and Kaizer Chiefs at Loftus Stadium on Sunday.

A Sundowns versus  Chiefs clash is often a mouth-watering affair and their upcoming Absa Premiership Woza Nazo fixture is expected to be no different.

The hosts, Masandawana remain unbeaten after nearly three months of league action this season, a record they will look to keep when Amakhosi make the short trip to Tshwane.

On the other hand, their rivals have picked themselves up from last season’s disappointing season and currently lead the log standings. They will go into the game with the aim of remaining top as the first quarter of the season draws near.
The clash between the two free-scoring teams on either side of the Jukskei River, will be the 5th of 12 Woza Nazo fixtures activated by Absa across the country this season, ensuring Absa Premiership fever reaches everyone.

Ahead of the game, Absa will once again showcase the unique Woza Nazo Wheel at an Absa Premiership roadshow set to take place at the Mamelodi Mall on Friday, October 25 between 2pm – 4pm.

Current Absa customers will be given an opportunity to spin and win great prizes at the venue.

Fans who attend the roadshow and sign up to open an Absa account on the day will have an opportunity to win Woza Nazo Absa Red Tickets to access the match.

There will also be in-branch Woza Nazo Red Zone ticket giveaways at Absa Thabo Sehume, Absa Atteridgeville and Absa Boulders Mall from Monday 21 October until Friday 25 October.

Customers that come in to make a transaction in one of these Absa branches will stand a chance to win Absa Red Zone Tickets for the exciting clash.

On match day, Absa will continue with the new and exciting Woza Nazo Shootout that will see the fifth football fan this season winning an instant cash prize of R100 000.

At halftime five Absa customers will be brought to the pitch to kick against a legendary Absa Premiership goalkeeper, in a sudden death competition until there is only one winner.

Senzo Maphumulo, the Durban winner of the Woza Nazo Shootout last month, said: “I’m extremely excited to have won this amazing prize. I wasn’t expecting to participate in the competition but when I received the call from Absa representatives at the start of the match in Umlazi, I went all out and did my best to take a brilliant penalty kick. The prize will go a long way in improving my life and that of my family.”

Still part of the match day experience, Absa, will also be providing 1 200 fans who receive the Woza Nazo Absa Red Tickets with a Woza Nazo hamper on match day. The hamper will consist of Woza Nazo merchandise that includes a t-shirt, a cap, snacks and refreshments to enjoy during the match.

The Woza Nazo hamper collection station will be located at Gate 1 on match day at the Loftus Stadium from 11:30am and will close at 2pm. Fans with Absa Red Zone Tickets are encouraged to arrive at the stadium early.
