Reneilwe ‘Yeye’ Letsholonyane has officially announced his retirement from professional football.
The 39-year-old midfielder broke the news on his social media platforms through a short video revealing all the jerseys he has donned throughout his football career.
‘Yeye’ played for Jomo Cosmos, Kaizer Chiefs, SuperSport United and Highlands Park, who sold their PSL status to TS Galaxy where he retired – having only participated in 10 DStv Premiership matches.
He has played for Bafana Bafana since September 2008 and made his debut against Malawi. He played at the 2010 Fifa World Cup and the 2013 African Cup of Nations. The veteran footballer has managed to earn himself a total number of 54 caps for the national team.
Letsholonyane has made 386 appearances in the South African football top-flight for the five teams he played for.
