Each season comes with both new and fresh talent who announce their arrival on the big stage with some sterling performances that are difficult to ignore.

The 2019-20 season was no different, and FARPost takes a lot at the top 5 players.

Sipho Mbule (SuperSport United)

In his third full season with ‘Matsatsantsa a Pitori’, Mbule has grown in leaps and bounds. The 22-year-old has commanded a regular place in the heart of the midfield for the Kaitano Tembo side, and only missed two league matches. Three goals and an assist wasn’t such a bad return for the SA junior international.

Bongokuhle Hlongwane (Maritzburg United)

The young striker is certainly one to look up for in South African football in the near future. Hlongwane was included in the Bafana Bafana CHAN squad last year and has never looked back. The 20-year-old scored two goals with one assist during the season.

Lelethu Skelem (Stellenbosch FC)

The 22-year-old has been a revelation for ‘Stellies’ in their first season in the Premier Division. Although he has had some decent performances since the beginning of the season, it was until at the bio-bubble that he caught people’s attention. All his three goals in the league came in the last month, with two assists to his name.

Evidence Makgopa (Baroka FC)

Makgopa was only promoted from the MDC team to the senior team in March this year but made a huge impact. Four League goals make the 20-year-old the teams’ top goal scorer after playing in 8 matches. Makgopa will definitely be a player to watch during the 2020-21 season.

Keletso Makgalwa (Mamelodi Sundowns)

Following his loan move to Maritzburg United, Makgalwa has come back a much-improved player and played a huge part in Sundowns winning their 10th Absa Premiership title. He managed to play in 16 matches in the star-studded side, which some senior players find it difficult to do.
