Forest Rangers coach Tennant Chilumba admits their sudden rise to the top of the FAZ Super Division table will not be a holiday with twelve games left before the 2019 /2020 title is decided.
Rangers enjoy a rare moment as serious contenders perched at the top as the League title race enters its second and final half of the season.
This follows Saturday’s 1-0 away win over record 12-time champions Nkana who dropped from third to fourth after the defeat.
“I think credit should go to the boys. Nkana is a big team. I’m happy with the performance.
“We worked on endurance and all departments worked hard. It is a big challenge. I think our objective now is to focus now because every game now will be a big game,” said Chilumba.
Forest, who have finished in the top four, jumped from second to number one exchanging places with Green Eagles on 42 and 41 points from 22 and 21 games played respectively.
The Ndola club is three points ahead of their local rivals and defending league champions Zesco United who are third on the table.
Forest will stay top this weekend should they beat seven positioned Kabwe Warriors away whom they beat 2-0 in the first leg.
