Zambia Super League week 1 summary


The 2020/2021 MTN/FAZ football season kicked-off this past weekend with all the eight fixtures taking pace.

Kitwe united were trashed 3-0 by Prison Leopards in the opening game of the season on Friday. Francis Zulu, Simon Nkandu and Junior Zulu scored the goals for Leopards.

Buildcon and Lusaka Dynamos played to a 0-0 draw levy Mwanawasa Stadium.

Also in a match played at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium, goals by Adams Zikiru and Webster Muzaza gave Forest Rangers a 2-0 win over defending champions, Nkana.

Green Buffaloes played to a 0-0 against Red Arrows, Green Eagles beat Kabwe Warriors 1-0, while Lumwana Radiants played to a 1-1 draw against Nkwazi.

Zanaco opened their campaign with a 2-0 win against Indeni courtesy of goals by Rodger Kola and Moses Phiri.

NAPSA Stars played to a 1-1 daw against Zesco.
