Zambia Super League side Lumwana Radiants have suspended their entire technical bench with immediate effect.
Zambian football publication ZamFoot, have reported that the decision was taken after an emergency Executive Committee meeting held on Wednesday owing to the club’s poor results so far this season.
The club has since appointed former Nkana defender Christopher Munthali as the caretaker coach.
Munthali will be assisted by goalkeeper Alain Katembwe Ngeleka and Sports Development officer under Lumwana Property Development Company, Victor Mwila.
“The decision has been necessitated by the poor performance of the club since the opening of the season against the set target,” said club Secretary Paul Mkandawire in a statement.
“Mr. Munthali’s first assignment will be to manage the upcoming game against Buildcon FC in Ndola. We would like to take this opportunity to wish our interim technical bench all the very best,” he said.
After five games Lumwana Radiants have four points and yet to win a match.
